Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. The artist has already recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano in her basement and bewildered by the sound it made. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a profession or a pastime, but as a way to develop. The singer began to write lyrics of her own. In addition to Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mom encouraged her to play her music in front of the public, but not so that she could gain fame but rather to let others know that they matter and how they can make a difference to make a difference in the world. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and was writing her first song when she was nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. The only thing she loves is to write music. To her music, is the most effective method of expressing anything.
